San Juan, Puerto Rico- Puerto Rico FC joined the Puerto Rico Department of Sports and Recreation in their event DRD with Puerto Rico, which took place today at Loiza’s public square.
This is the second time the DSR has held this event, the first one being last week at Toa Baja where PRFC also participated.
“We are proud to be part of this initiative that seeks not only to promote sports and overall physical health, but also bring joy and entertainment to every public square in the island at a time when we need it most,” said Community Relations Manager Alexis Rivera.
Present at this event were the Secretary of the DRS Andrés Waldemar Volmar Méndez and the Mayor of Loiza Honorable Julia Nazario. Representing PRFC were midfielders Jorge “Georgie” Rivera and Joseph “Jackie” Marrero, along front office staff. The players handed out regulation soccer balls and were in charge of the soccer station were they played mini games with the kids.
“We will always be available for our community,” said Georgie. “We are happy to be here and play with the kids and bring good vibes to those who most need it.”
