2015: On January 15, 2015 the Strikers announced that David Meves had re-signed with the club for the upcoming season.


Meves made his season debut starting in net against the New York Cosmos in the opening match of the year. The goalkeeper recorded his first professional shutout in a 0-0 draw with Atlanta Silverbacks on May 2. Meves suffered a fractured jaw in a U.S. Open Cup defeat to Charleston Battery on May 27. He returned to the Starting XI against Minnesota United FC on October 10.


Meves made 12 appearances, all starts, posting 4 shutouts in 2015.


2014: The Strikers announced the signing of 23-year-old goalkeeper David Meves on July 10, 2014.


Meves made his professional debut on August 9, 2014, starting in goal for the 2-1 victory against Ottawa Fury FC at TD Place Stadium in Ottawa. He made one other appearance in 2014, a 2-1 defeat in Edmonton.


Professional:  Meves was drafted third overall by MLS Portland Timbers of MLS in the 2013 supplemental draft. He played with the Timbers U23s where he was named to the All-Western Conference Team after recording six shutouts and being ranked among league leaders in both goals-against average (0.85) and fewest goals allowed (11).


College: Played college soccer at Akron University. Meves is the NCAA’s all-time leader for shutouts with 54 and his goals-against-average of 0.50 is tied for fifth-best on the NCAA’s all-time list.
